The rink is large enough to have hosted some spectacular Christmas on Ice events, the Tennessee Special Olympics ice skating competition, and more! 3. Ride the Ski Mountain Coaster
The Ski Mountain Coaster borders the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, offering beautiful mountain views. It actually begins with a relaxing ride up the mountainside. This coaster is designed for comfort with higher headrests and shorter brake levers for easy handling. The carts have room for 2 passengers to ride securely, so you and one other friend or family member can enjoy it together! This unique coaster also allows you to control your speed. So, you can either leisurely cruise through the trees or zip past at up to 25 MPH!
4. Wildlife Encounter
Make some amazing new animal friends at Ober Gatlinburg! Wildlife Encounter is a privately funded, municipally sponsored zoo. It was created so that visitors could view and learn about native wildlife in a safe environment. When you stop by, you’ll be able to meet the members of their black bear family Minnie, BJ, and their 6 year olds, Holly and Chief.You can see the river otters playing at the underwater viewing area. They also have a nocturnal house where you can see flying squirrels, turtles, snakes, and other species that inhabit the Smokies.
